Eight weeks
Happy two months, twinsies! I cannot believe how fast time is going & how much they're growing!
YaYa Karlene was here for almost two
weeks helping us & visiting with the babies. We definitely needed
the help with Kevin working & out of the house eleven hours a day.
She was here for Easter which was nice because I can't remember the last
holiday we actually had with her. She'll be back in June. "My mom's
coming back IN eight weeks..." "FOR EIGHT WEEKS?!" Silly Kevin. Aunt Franny stops over every couple days to make sure I don't go crazy!

We've been trying to walk them every night but getting them in the stroller isn't that easy. I walked them alone the other day.. I have to set the stroller up outside, lock it, get one baby put them in, go back inside get the other baby, make sure the door is locked & that I have my keys to get back inside, hahaha.

Mr.Henry went to the
gastroenterologist for his acid reflux, they're going to keep him on his
medicine even tho he's been doing better. He is 7lbs 11oz! Chubby lil'
man. Not sure how much Miss Sophia weighs but they're both going to the
pediatrician on Monday & will find out. They have to get their first
round of shots, oh jeez. I'm not prepared for cranky/sad babies all
day.
Grandpa Joe is coming on Friday for a
weekend visit while he's working in Maryland. Aunt Chrissy is coming
the first weekend in May & then GrandmaGrandma comes for a couple
weeks. Not used to having all this company!

They're both over 4lbs & are gaining almost an ounce a day. Gotta fatten these babies up! Sophia eats like a champ. They took the feeding tube out of her on Monday. She gets to come home on Friday or Saturday! Henry still needs some help but he's getting the hang of it. He should be home a week or two after her, Hoping they are both home for Easter.

Two weeks old.

| First family photo of us! |
Henry & Sophia's health has improved so much in the past two weeks.
Sophia is up to 3.07lbs. She only has a feeding tube left but she takes the bottle & is almost at full feeds every 3hours. We need to fatten her up! The nurses think she'll be able to come home in the next 2 weeks!
Henry is up to almost 4lbs! Yay! Still on the oxygen but it's a tiny little tube in his nose instead of a giant one down his throat. It's only on "room air" which means he is breathing on his own but needs a little help sometimes. The nurses think he might need to stay a little longer than Sophia but they up his feeds 3ml every feed & he's been tolerating them so he could catch up to her in the next 2 weeks which would be awesome because I would really like to take them home at the same time!
I've been getting their room ready a little bit everyday. Just waiting for the dressers which are being built by my dad & for the cribs to be put together which Kevin/Hank are going to put together. So exciting.

They are still in the NICU at the hospital but everyday the nurses tell us how well they're doing & how much they've improved since their first day there. We visit them everyday, sometimes I go up there twice (to bring them milk).
Last night we each got to hold one of them at the same time. We rocked them in the rocking chairs & watched them sleep. It was awesome.
Still not sure when they will be coming home but I'm thinking sooner than we expected. :)

Surprise!
Henry Robert & Sophia Rose made their debut on
Wednesday, February 15th at 5:11am & 5:12am!
February 2nd I went for my 30week sonogram/checkup & ended up going to the hospital. Apparently I was having contractions but couldn't feel them. They monitored me for FIVE days & then sent me home. I'm not the type of person to sit in bed all day & do nothing. It was really hard for me to stay put! I only broke bed rest twice. Once to watch the newest episode of The Walking Dead & the next was to order the cakes for my baby shower.
Well Mr.Henry decided he didn't want to be in my belly anymore, kicked thru his sac & broke my water at 3:30am! I was in bed, thought I had to use the bathroom & before I could even get off the bed the water was all over. I thought it was a dream. I really expected to be scheduled for a c-section & that the Dr. would tell me when to come in. Had to wake Kevin up twice because the first time he just said "Okay..." & went back to sleep.
Got to the hospital around 4:15am, the labor & delivery nurses said "Welcome back!" since I had just been there a week ago. The Dr. came in, checked me & said "I feel a foot, let's go, emergency c-section right now!" It was so quick! So quick that they didn't even get Kevin in the room with me. I was given anesthesia & within 15mintes the babies were out! Recovery wasn't so fun but I knew the babies were out & doing okay.

Since they were 8 weeks early they were put into the NICU. Seeing them in there is really scary. They're hooked up to all these noisy machines beeping & dinging every couple minutes. Henry had a tube down his throat that made it so you couldn't hear him cry.. you could see that he was crying but no noise was coming out. It made me really sad.
I know this is where they have to be for now but I just want to hold/kiss them & bring them home.
They let me go home Saturday which is when my baby shower was planned for. They were having it with or without me since my mom flew in Thursday, so I went. I really can't thank my family & friends for all of the amazing, lovely, much needed gifts for the twins. I don't know what we would do without them. I don't think there's anything they will need for the next 2 years! Well, besides diapers & food.
Now we just have to wait. They have to be at least 35weeks old & breathing 100% on their own before they can come home. We will just visit them everyday until they can. Miss them already.
